Are the products/materials already available for sale?

In 2020 Nienke became the co-founder of Zeefier, a company developing natural seaweed dyes for the textile industry. For more information or requests on seaweed dyes, you can visit their website.

To buy naturally tanned fish leather, you can contact Searious Fish, a Dutch company who are also our supplier for the RE-SEA ME stool salmon leather. If you want to make your own fish leather, please see our book Fish Leather.

The materials like cellulose from used toilet paper and PHA (bioplastic) that we used in our collaborations with the Dutch Water Authorities can be inquired through the Energy and Raw Materials Factory.

The products in our webshop are available for sale, of course.

Can you share your knowledge of these processes with me/us?

Nienke wrote the books ‘Seaweed Research’, ‘Fish Leather’ and ‘H.E.R.B.S.’ to share her research with others. The books contain a lot of information about her research and give insight into the (design) process. They are available for sale in our webshop. Nienke can also give lectures about her projects.
